Colours By The Bay introduces a novel concept in dining experience.
It brings together different restaurants under one roof
to offer diners a choice of specialised cuisines ranging from
Chinese to Korean, Thai, and Italian. It also
includes Singapore's hottest nightclub, DXO Club.
The restaurants making up Colours By The Bay are established
names with a strong following. They are ThaiExpress,
Jang Shou Korean Charcoal BBQ, Urban East Bistro & Restaurant, Al
Dente, and 2 Hot Halal Cafe. Each restaurant occupies about 2,000 sq
ft of space. Al Dente is spread over two floors, as is The DXO Club
which is the largest at 12,000 sq ft. Together they
take up over 26,000 sq ft at Esplanade - Theatres On The Bay,
including a 4,000 sq ft out-door area.
Each of the outlets is differentiated by Colours and design
rather than separated by walls. A common design theme runs through
each of the restaurants to tie them all back to Colours By The
Bay. The place has a vibrant, trendy and hip feel. The relaxed
ambience provides the perfect place for patrons to have fun and
enjoy themselves. The interior is designed by well-known design
consultant David Broadley Associates. Colours By The Bay can also
cater for official functions and celebrations such as corporate
launches, annual company dinners, weddings and birthdays.
The name Colours By The Bay reflects its relation to Esplanade.
It also alludes to the different cultures and races that have
given rise to the different varieties of cuisines around the world.
The logo has different colours to represent the restaurants
making up Colours By The Bay. The waves in the logo signify the
water in the bay while the different colours also bear semblance
to an artist's palette.
